Traditional Celebrations

Chuao, Santiago Mariño Municipality, was one of the first towns founded in the sixteenth century, its first inhabitants belong to the Caribbean family. It is considered the oldest of the peoples of Aragua.

It is framed by the sea, with entrances and Turmero Choroní, crossing the mountains of Henri Pittier Park. This parish is composed of 11 hamlets. Their main source of livelihood is fishing and agriculture, with its famous cacao plantations.
Speaking of Chuao's talk about traditions like the celebration of the day of their patron saint, the Immaculate Conception on 8 December, Virgin is venerated at the colonial church built in 1567.
